At East Hills Chiropractic and Sports Therapy we take special care in designing a treatment plan that is right for you. Dr. Mangold and Dr. Hankins take the first part of each treatment session to listen to you, and understand what your symptoms are, the causes of your symptoms and adjust your treatment to best relieve your pain. Many times the treatment that worked on your last visit may not be right for your current visit. We take the time to understand our patients needs, lifestyles and symptoms to best provide relief and wellness for every patient.
Phase 1: Relief Care
So often our patients come to us with crippling pain from an accident or other strain that causes discomfort on any part of their body. The moment you walk into our East Hills Chiropractic office you're greeted by our friendly and helpful staff, and of course our office mascot, Tucker. We will escort and offer to assist you to a treatment room where Dr. Mangold or Dr. Hankins will evaluate, diagnose and treat your source of discomfort to provide relief from pain. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition which is causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week for 4-12 weeks.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
Now that your chronic pain is relieved, Dr. Mangold and Dr. Hankins will develop a treatment plan to correct and restore integrity to your damaged tissues. This part of the treatment can consist of any combination of stretching exercises, stregnthening and core exercises, and proper techniques. Chiropractic adjustments are common in this stage to relieve mild to moderate pain and to help keep your skeletal structure correctly aligned for proper recovery. It is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustments about 4-8 times per month for 6-24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.
